  • Views of the world: ?
  • Things that change, support, challenge utterance
    • Uber study- supporting company success, audience is general public and Uber users, context is the effects of Uber on major cities, proof is study claiming 10% decrease in DUIs in two cities after introduction of Uber, no opposing view, professional principals may be economic (for the furthering of the company,) political significance is unclear
This article takes about the opposite stance when compared to Uber article #2. It is produced by Uber, which means that the results of their study could be biased, but it provides an interesting alternative to those who claim Uber has not made an impact after being introduced to major cities. This has shown me that how "science" is made in the news really depends on which pieces a reader decides to pay attention to.
